HERE ARE QUESTIONS THAT GET ASKED A LOT SO HERES THE ANSWERES BELOW FOR THEM
“HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HAVE MY VEHICLE WRAPPED?"
At Pitstop Customs our average timing on vehicle wraps can take 3-4 days depending on the size of your vehicle. We also offer an express service at an extra cost and depending on availability.
“DO I NEED TO MAKE A DEPOSIT?"
We take a initial deposit to confirm your booking then on confirmed drop off date we also will need a deposit which will cover your material cost. This is deducted all from the total cost.
“WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY BOOKING?"
All deposits are non-refundable, but we can offer an alternative date to your convenience.
“WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHANGE MY MIND ON THE COLOUR I HAVE ALREADY CHOSEN TO GO ONTO MY CAR AFTER BEING BOOKED IN?"
If the material has already been ordered and you decide to change the colour of the wrap, the material can be exchanged for an alternative material that is similarly priced.
“DO I NEED TO WAIT WHILST MY VEHICLE IS BEING WRAPPED?"
It is optional for you to wait if you are having the interior of your vehicle wrapped or smaller jobs like roof wraps, light tints, window tints ect. it is not necessary for you to wait whilst your vehicle is booked in for a full wrap. We will contact you prior to collection date.
“HOW LONG IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO MAKE A BOOKING?"
We stock most common colours for vehicle wraps however depending on the availability prior to your booking and once a deposit has been made, the material for your vehicle will be available within 48 hours.
“DO YOU OFFER A SERVICE WHERE MY VEHICLE CAN BE COLLECTED?"
A collection service is available as well as a drop off delivery service upon completion of the work/s.
“HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?"
For a convenient appointment to be arranged you can contact us via phone, otherwise you can book online or email us.
“CAN MY VEHICLE BE HAND WASHED AND DRIVEN THROUGH A CAR WASH?"
We do not recommend using the drive through vehicle wash, as your vehicle may be at risk of being damaged. We highly recommend that your vehicle is hand washed as more pride will be taken in your vehicle being thoroughly cleaned.
“IS THE WRAP ON MY VEHICLE EASY TO REMOVE?"
Vehicle wrap films can be easily removed at any time but we advised to call us to get booked in for the film to be removed professionally
“WILL THE VINYL WRAP DAMAGE MY PAINTWORK?"
The wrapping will protect your paint against rusting, chips and any other damaging or WEATHERING TO preserve your vehicles future value. It is important to note that if you already have any rusting, chips or any other damage to your paintwork, when the material is being removed, it may pull loose paint with it but we carry out inspections before we touch any vehicles.
“WILL THE VINYL WRAP DAMAGE MY PAINTWORK?"
There is no law that states that it is compulsory for you to inform DVLA that your vehicle has been wrapped, as vehicle wrapping is temporary, however you may wish to do so and they will send you a new log book with the colour change.
It is important to advise your insurance company that you have had your vehicle wrapped as this is classified as a vehicle modification. In the event of an accident or a claim, the insurance company will be aware of the costs and the materials that need to be replaced.
